How much does it cost Government of Jersey to process FOI requests per annum

Information as to the total costs of processing Freedom of Information requests is not currently held by the Government of Jersey, Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 therefore applies. 

Work to analyse and document these costs is underway as part of a review into the Freedom of Information function. The current review will be taking costs into account and data will be published in the formal report.

Article 3 - Meaning of “information held by a public authority”

For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –

(a)     it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or

(b)     it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.​
