How many islanders have benefitted from the Long Term Care scheme in the last five years. Please can this be broken down by year.

Employment, Social Security and Housing does not currently report on Long-Term Care claims opened and closed within the same year, so we are unable to answer the question specifically as this information is not held.
However, information regarding the number of Long-Term Care claims that were open at the end of each year from 2012 to 2023 can be found on the open data website using the link below.

The department is looking to publish this data for 2024 soon, which will then appear at the same link.
The following exemption has been applied:
Article 10 - Obligation of scheduled public authority to confirm or deny holding Information
(1) Subject to paragraph (2), if –
(a) a person makes a request for information to a scheduled public authority; and
(b) the authority does not hold the information, it must inform the applicant accordingly.
