I have heard that there are to be changes to school governors. Please can we have released all emails between the chairs of governing bodies of each school, between each other. From February 14th 2025 to 1st July 2025

Response

School Governors do not form part of the Scheduled Public Authority and therefore their communications are exempt under Article 3 of the Freedom of Information Law 2011.

Article 3 - Meaning of “information held by a public authority”

For the purposes of this Law, information is held by a public authority if –

(a)     it is held by the authority, otherwise than on behalf of another person; or

(b)     it is held by another person on behalf of the authority.
