The Minister for Infrastructure formally notified the Parish of Grouville that the Scheduled Public Authority (SPA) would no longer give ongoing financial support, provide maintenance of the equipment or pay for the insurance needed to operate the children's play area known as Sandy Park, on 17th February 2025.

The Infrastructure Department's responsibility for the playpark ceased on the 23rd June 2025.
