I would like to know over the past five years period
1. What is the average length of time from issuing a noise abatement to it being enforced?
2. What is the shortest time it has taken and what is the longest period of time?
Response
1
Abatement Notices are issued on a case-by-case basis, tailored to the specific circumstances of each situation. Depending on the nature of the issue, a notice may require immediate cessation of the activity or allow a defined period for compliance to enable remediation.
2
Over the past five years, no court judgments have been made in relation to abatement notices, therefore, this information is not held, and Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 therefore applies.
