Summary

​The need to consider issues of Fort Regent’s future maintenance and use resulted in Education,
Sport & Culture commissioning a Conservation Statement for the Fort in May 2003. Antony
Gibb was appointed and a project initiation meeting was held at Fort Regent on 5th June 2003
Research began immediately and consultation letters were sent out in early July 2003. A final draft was presented to the Education, Sport & Culture Committee in May 2005 and was endorsed in January 2006 by the Minister for Education Sport & Culture.
