Justice and Home Affairs Departmental Annual Report 2020

This was a challenging year for Justice and Home Affairs (JHA) as much of the work we expected to deliver was delayed by the substantial demands of the Government’s COVID-19 response. We are proud of the work that our services carried out to support islanders through the pandemic and are committed to delivering our 2020 commitments in 2021. Despite this challenge, we were able to make substantial progress on our Combined Control Room, a major 2020-23 Government Plan commitment, which will deliver a modern and efficient emergency Control Room.

We have also completed a tranche of modernisation work at the Prison, continued to develop our plans for a new combined Ambulance, Fire & Rescue station, overseen our successful Settled Status scheme, and prepared our borders for Brexit at the start of 2021.

The tables below set out progress against the Justice and Home Affairs (JHA) departmental objectives for 2020.
