Registering as a pharmacy technician

Register as a pharmacy technician

You must be registered under Jersey law to work as a pharmacy technician in Jersey. It’s against the law to work as a pharmacy technician if you’re not registered.

To register, you must also be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacy technician.

To apply for registration you must:

  • complete the application form below and send it to the Chief Pharmacist at Jersey General Hospital
  • apply to the GPhC for a Certificate of Current Professional Status (CCPS)
  • send this certificate to the Chief Pharmacist

Our Chief Pharmacist will email you to let you know when you’re registered.

Renew your registration

You must renew your registration as a pharmacy technician every year. You'll receive an email to initiate this process, together with a renewal form, in early January each year.

If you don’t renew, you’re removed from the register and can’t continue working as a pharmacist in Jersey.
