The refurbishment

The refurbishment of the Maternity Unit started on Monday 16 August 2021. It will be split into 11 phases with the first phase of work starting in August 2021 and ending in February 2022. 

The works will be completed by October 2023.

The work will include:

  • upgrading the delivery suites
  • creating more en-suite facilities
  • expanding the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU)
  • upgrading the internal structure

Current services will continue and you'll still have access to the facilities and support you need.

 


Give us your feedback

You’ll have the opportunity to contribute towards the final look and feel of the newly refurbished unit, this may include choosing the colour schemes and art work.
