Road resurfacing on La Rue de la Monnaie

25 September 2009

Transport and Technical Services (TTS) is resurfacing a small section on Rue de la Monnaie, Trinity. This area was not renewed when the rest of the road was resurfaced in 2004 to allow utility connections to Springside Estate to be made. The surface is now in poor condition and so on completion, TTS looks forward to providing a continuous section of good quality road.

The extent of the works will be from 50m east of Springside Industrial Estate to 50m west and will be commencing on Tuesday 29 September 2009 for a period of approximately 2 weeks. The project cost is about £25,000.

During the resurfacing works, the road will be closed for all through traffic between 9.00am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. TTS has given careful consideration to the diversion routes that will be signposted and advertised in the Jersey Evening Post before commencement of the works and road-users will be respectfully requested to follow these directions to minimise disruption. Access to premises will be arranged through the site supervisor but may necessitate a short delay until site operations permit.

TTS looks forward to providing road-users with a good quality, durable road surface and regrets any inconvenience that these essential maintenance works may cause.
