Car blaze quickly extinguished

A stolen car was set alight in St Helier on Sunday evening.

The green Fiat Punto was totally engulfed in flame when the fire service arrived at the Westmount Road bowling green car park at 7.25pm.

The fire, which was quickly extinguished, follows other car fires in the past few weeks.

Police are investigating the incident and appealing for witnesses.
