Airport welcomes flights to Poland

03 December 2010

The Assistant Minister for Economic Development, Senator Paul Routier, who has specific responsibility for Jersey Airport, has welcomed today’s announcement by CI Travel Group of their intention to offer a small programme of direct flights to Poland in 2011.

Senator Routier said "I am delighted we can include services to Warsaw as part of our expanding network of European destinations served from Jersey. This is very good news for our local Polish community as well as the possible opportunities it affords for inbound tourism. It has long been the wish of Jersey Airport and Economic Development to see direct air services into Poland. I applaud the efforts of CI Travel Group and Pole Island Direct for their efforts and hope that if the flights are popular we can see an increase in future services."
