Lucky cat freed after falling 20 metres

15 July 2010

A cat was rescued on Wednesday 14 July after falling 20 metres into a 75mm wall cavity between 2 buildings in St Helier.

The Animal Shelter and firefighters tried all the traditional methods to release the cat but eventually had to drill inside one of the buildings. Precise measurements were taken to avoid injury to the animal.

The lucky cat was eventually freed and reunited with his owner.
