Acting Chief of Police will leave force at end of December

​On Monday 19 July 2010, the Minister for Home Affairs, Senator Ian Le Marquand, informed the States that the Acting Chief of Police, David Warcup, is no longer willing to be considered for the post of Chief Officer, States of Jersey Police.

As a result Mr Warcup will be leaving the force on 31 December 2010.

Senator Le Marquand spoke of his sadness at the loss of Mr Warcup, whom he described as an extremely able and committed officer.

The appointment process will start immediately.
