States utility accounts 2009

The Minister for Treasury and Resources has published the final set of States’ owned utility accounts for 2009.

Releasing the annual review of JT Group Limited, Senator Philip Ozouf said “I am please to report that despite tough trading conditions, JT Group continued to grow revenues in 2009.”

Senator Ozouf has already published the States of Jersey Utility Companies Financial Reports and Accounts for 2008 for Jersey Post International Limited, The Jersey New Waterworks Company Limited and Jersey Electricity Company.

The practice of publishing utility accounts started last year when the Treasury Minister committed to openness and transparency with the reporting of the States investments’ assets.

Senator Ozouf said “Management of the States investments is a very high priority.

“I will shortly be responding to the independent Deloitte report on governance and strengthening Treasury’s relationship with all utility companies.”
