Millennium Town Park consultation closes 27 August 2010

19 August 2010

There is only a week left to go for the public to have their say on what they want to see in the Millennium Town Park.

So far more than 1,000 people have filled in the questionnaire that will enable Transport and Technical Services (TTS) to decide what features should be included in the new park. The drop-in sessions were also very successful with around 100 people taking the opportunity to discuss their ideas with the designers.

“We are really pleased with the response we have had to this consultation process,” said Chris Sampson, Director of Municipal Services for TTS. “There has been a lot of interest and enthusiasm, particularly from those people who live in the Gas Place area. Anyone who hasn’t managed to let us know what they think so far still has until 27 August to complete the questionnaire.  This park will be shaped by the results of this consultation.”

The questionnaire, which is a quick and easy way to express views, can be completed online or copies can be obtained from the TTS offices at South Hill and the customer contact centre at Cyril Le Marquand House.
