2009 accounts published for 3 States-owned utilities

​​The Minister for Treasury and Resources, in accordance with the practice started last year, has published the 2009 accounts of 3 of the States-owned utility companies:

  • Jersey Post International Limited
  • Jersey New Waterworks Company Limited
  • Jersey Electricity Company

Senator Philip Ozouf said “These companies represent the substantial interests of the public of Jersey in utility companies. I am pleased to report that all companies have performed well, despite difficult trading conditions.”

All the companies will be reviewed against the recently published Deloitte Review on Governance of Utilities, which was commissioned to strengthen the Treasury’s oversight of States-owned companies and to further strengthen the  relationship between the companies and the Treasury.

The Jersey Telecoms Group Limited accounts will be presented to the States after their Annual General Meeting on 30 June 2010.
