Business requests for Approved Suppliers List

10 January 2012

The States of Jersey’s Property Holdings Maintenance section has opened the way for new applications to its List of Approved Suppliers.

The list is divided into several categories of work for contractors and sub-contractors and will be used to invite suppliers to bid for maintenance, refurbishment, small works projects and general works up to £250,000 in value.

Treasury and Resources Assistant Minister Deputy Eddie Noel said: “The current approved contractors list has not been updated for over 5 years and both standards and suppliers have changed during that time.

“The departments that will use the list will benefit from knowing that all of the contractors featured have undergone stringent evaluation to ensure that they are able to provide the best possible service, delivered safely, to a high quality and for the best value.

“It is a great opportunity for local suppliers to ensure that they are well-represented on the list and we would actively encourage all contractors and sub-contractors to apply, regardless of whether they may have been included on previous lists.”

Suppliers interested in being included in the evaluation process for final inclusion on the list will need to complete an application form and provide the associated documentation / information relating to their company and the types of work they can undertake.

Full details, including a guide, instructions and an application form, can be located by visiting the Channel Island Tenders ePortal. All applications for inclusion on the list must be submitted through the ePortal by midday on Monday 30 January 2012.
