Announcement of new freight operator

​As follows is a statement on behalf of Ports of Jersey by Group Chief Executive Officer, Doug Bannister, in relation to today’s announcement of new Jersey business, Channel Island Lines intention to commence a Lo-Lo (load on load off) freight service between the Channel Islands and the UK.
 
"I’m delighted with today’s announcement by Channel Island Lines of its intention to operate a new Lo-Lo service. I am certain that customers of the former Lo-Lo operator will be pleased that this vital link is being restored.
 
"Ports of Jersey is very much looking forward to working with the new company and as always will continue to lend its full support to ensure our vital freight links are secure."
