St John road open on Battle Day

​Transport and Technical Services (TTS) is suspending the road resurfacing project on La Grande Route de St Jean for tomorrow (Thursday 14 August), Battle of Flowers day, and the road will be fully open to traffic in both directions, all day.

With Victoria Avenue closed for Battle of Flowers, many drivers are expected to use country routes to cross the Island. As St John’s main road plays a key part in providing an alternative route, TTS has decided to halt works for the day.

Battle of Britain Day

The road closure and restrictions for the resurfacing project will resume again on Friday (15 August) until completion, except for Battle of Britain Day, 11 September, when work will again be suspended for the day.
