Motorists in St John asked to follow signed diversion

23 July 2014

Motorists are being asked to follow the signed diversion routes that are in place while La Grande Route de St Jean is closed, and not use parish lanes.

Anyone who normally uses La Grande Route de St Jean as a through route is asked to use the signed diversion routes either along Trinity Hill or Mont Felard. Transport and Technical Services say drivers who are using the narrow parish lanes instead are causing disruption and inconvenience to residents and blocking access to businesses.

Resurfacing work until November

La Grande Route de St Jean is closed to through traffic on weekdays from 9.30 am until 4.30 pm for resurfacing work, which is due to continue until the end of November.

Motorists can help reduce disruption by avoiding the area if necessary and using alternative routes. Access to premises and businesses is being maintained, and TTS apologises for any disruption caused by the essential maintenance work.
