Car registration plates auction

Transport and Technical Services is auctioning off vehicle registration number plates.

There are 57 number plates available at the auction, including: J005, J006, J007 and J222222.

Last year’s auction was very popular and winning bids ranged from £250 to £43,000.

This auction takes place at 10.30am on Saturday 26 September at the Great Hall at Highlands College (doors open at 9am).

Minister for Transport and Technical Services Deputy Eddie Noel said “People are willing to pay a premium to get a special number plate for their car or buy one as a present for someone else. There are a few sets of consecutive numbers available which may appeal to families.”
