Extended response time for judicial independence consultation

​The response period for the public consultation on strengthening judicial independence and establishing a Judicial and Legal Services Commission has been extended by two weeks.
The consultation, which was initially due to close today, Friday 4 August 2017, will now be open until Friday 18 August 2017.

The Community and Constitutional Affairs Department has extended the consultation period in order to allow as many members of the public, legal profession and judiciary to respond as possible over the summer.
