Drop-in session for proposed Bel Royal pedestrian improvements

03 March 2017

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) is holding a drop-in session on Tuesday 7 March for people to find out more about plans to improve the pedestrian and bus user facilities in the Bel Royal area.

Members of the public are invited to the drop-in session at Bel Royal School from 2.30pm to 5.30pm on Tuesday 7 March. Information panels providing details of the proposals will be available for viewing and officers will be on hand to answer questions and listen to comments.

The footpath on the west side of the road between Bel Royal Garage and the school is narrow at its northern end. To provide a safe crossing route to the continuous footpath on the east side, a pelican crossing is proposed. DfI is also proposing a coloured flush footpath on La Vallee de St Pierre opposite the school to provide safety improvements to waiting bus passengers. In addition, a bus shelter is being proposed on La Route de St Aubin near to Bel Royal Gardens.
