Road safety improvements for Longueville Road

18 January 2018

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) and the Parish of St Saviour are holding a drop-in session on Thursday 25 January between 5pm and 8pm at Plat Douet School for all who use the area to come along and view the latest proposals for improvements on Longueville Road.

DfI and the Parish of St Saviour with local community representatives formed a project board to consider improvements in Longueville Road.

Following a consultation in September 2017 the project board has considered the concerns raised and would now like to present it's proposals for new crossings and other improvements.

Those unable to attend the drop-in can still have their say as the proposals and feedback questionnaires will be available at St Saviour’s Parish Hall until Thursday 1 February.

Information is also available on Road safety scheme for Longueville Road

The project board will review all the feedback together with other relevant information and present a proposed set of improvements to the Minister for Infrastructure.

The aim is for improvements to be implemented later in 2018.

Deputy Eddie Noel, Minister for Infrastructure said, “I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the first phase of the consultation last September, which has enabled us to put together these proposals. I hope all those who took part last time will do so again and we would also welcome any newcomers. Together we will make the road safer for pedestrians and other road users.”
