Parish recycle scheme drop-in

02 September 2019

Residents in St Peter are invited to attend a drop-in session to learn more about the future of recycling collection in their parish.

Last month parishioners voted in favour of introducing household recycling collection to help residents recycle paper, cardboard, plastic bottles and metal packaging.

The drop-in session will take place on Wednesday 4 September, at the Parish Hall from 10am to 2pm and 4pm to 7pm.

Connétable Richard Vibert, Deputy Rowland Huelin and Emma Richardson-Calladine, Recycling Manager, will answer questions and provide more information about the scheme.

Connétable Richard Vibert said: “It is important that we provide an opportunity for parishioners in St Peter to learn more about the parish recycling scheme.  The scheme can only be a success if everyone in St Peter takes part and so it’s essential that we start working with parishioners now.”

Emma Richardson-Calladine, Recycling Manager, said: “Eight of the twelve parishes are now delivering or planning to soon deliver a household recycling collection.  The parish recycling schemes make recycling easy for everyone and I am looking forward to helping St. Peter reduce their waste and recycle more.”
