Two charged with drug trafficking and money laundering

16 July 2021

police
Two men have today appeared in the Magistrate’s Court, having been charged with drug trafficking and money laundering offences.

The arrests of Nicholas Whitcombe, aged 30, from Birkenhead and Anthony Dryden, aged 31, from Jersey are the culmination of a lengthy investigation into the importation of drugs via the postal system.

No pleas were entered in court and their case will be considered by the Royal Court in due course. Both have been granted conditional bail by the court until their next appearances.

Members of the public can help JCIS tackle drug smuggling. If you have any information, you can call the Customs Freephone on 0800 735 5555 and speak to an officer in complete confidence.
