85% of adult Islanders have at least one dose

The latest COVID-19 vaccination statistics as at Sunday 1 August, show that 85% of all adult Islanders aged over 18-years old had received one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine. Additionally, 79% of all adult Islanders are fully vaccinated. 

Other key statistics:

  • 64% of Islanders aged 18-29 have had one dose
  • 74,511 first doses have been administered
  • 68,733 second doses have been administered

This week, the Rock Up mobile clinics launched at numerous sites around the Island. Islanders are welcome to go to any one of these clinics to talk to medical staff or to get their first dose. The full Rock Up schedule can be found online.

Fort Regent's Vaccination Centre is open for walk in appointments for both first and second doses. Second doses will only be administered if 28 or more days have passed since the first dose was administered. The Centre will be closed on Sundays and Mondays throughout August, Islanders should check the opening times online.

Vaccination Programme Operations Lead, Ross Barnes, said: "Over the past week we have seen more Islanders, particularly young Islanders coming forward for their first Covid vaccine. The Rock Up clinics are proving to be very successful and by extending walk-in appointments at Fort Regent, more Islanders have been able to make use of the flexibility and ease.

"There are still Islanders who have not yet come forward for the first dose, those Islanders should feel free to come and talk to any of our medical staff at the Rock Up clinics or at Fort Regent who will be able to answer any questions, big or small, about the vaccines. Almost 80% of adult Islanders are fully vaccinated which is absolutely fantastic."
