Bye-law 7: materials and workmanship

  • general guidance on the performance expected of materials and building work in order to comply with each of the requirements of the Building Bye-laws; and

  • practical examples and solutions on how to achieve compliance for some of the more common building situations.

Bye-Law 7: materials and workmanship covers the requirements for materials and workmanship in construction. It therefore shows ways of establishing the fitness of materials and ways of establishing the adequacy of workmanship.
