All customers who have purchased Toshiba laptops between July 2013 and January 2017, should promptly check their battery pack to ensure it is not affected by this recall.  A previous recall for this product was released in January 2016; users who checked their battery packs and were not affected by the 2016 recall must now re-check their battery packs.

Toshiba sold the affected battery packs with new laptops and as accessories or replacement battery packs in the course of repair.
