Background to taskforce

The Minister for Home Affairs has established a Taskforce on violence against women and girls to drive progress in reducing these crimes and behaviours in Jersey.

The objectives of the Taskforce are to:

undertake research to better understand the nature, extent, attitudes to, and experiences of violence against women and girls in Jersey
examine the existing legal framework, service, and support provision in relation to violence against women and girls
make recommendations on how legislation, services and support could be improved and made more effective in order to reduce violence against women and girls in Jersey
