Housing Department parking permits

To apply for a parking permit you must read, understand and accept the terms and conditions of tenants' parking. You can read the full terms and conditions if you download the parking permit application below.

You can download a parking permit application form here or you can collect one from the Housing Customer Service Centre at Jubilee Wharf. You'll need to return your completed form to Jubilee Wharf.

If you are applying for your first parking permit, you'll need to provide:

  • your driving licence
  • your vehicle registration document (logbook)

If your logbook needs to be updated a temporary permit will be issued for 2 weeks.

Renewing your permit

Your permit is valid for 12 months and you must renew it before the expiry date by filling in a parking permit application form (above).

Changes to your permit details (vehicle or address)

If you change your vehicle or address, you'll need to apply for a temporary parking permit. This will cover you for two weeks while your vehicle registration documents are being updated with Driver and Vehicle Standards (DVS).

You will need to provide:

  • your driving licence
  • your old parking permit

When you get your updated registration document from DVS, take it into Jubilee Wharf to get your full annual parking permit.

Medical parking permits

Medical permits are for people who need vehicle access to visit and help sick or elderly tenants. You can have up to three vehicles on one parking permit.

If you want to apply for a medical permit you need to provide:

  • a letter from a doctor stating the person's medical condition and how long the permit will be required
  • driving licences for all vehicle owners
  • vehicle registration documents for all vehicle owners

A medical permit allows permit-holders to park for up to three hours. You can download the parking permit application form on this page or collect one from Jubilee Wharf.

Temporary parking permits (loan cars)

Temporary permits can be issued if you have been given a loan car while your vehicle is being repaired.

You will need to provide:

  • driving licence
  • letter from loan company / garage on headed paper stating how long you will have the loan car
  • current parking permit from your vehicle that is being repaired

A temporary permit will be issued while you have a loan car. When you return the temporary permit we will issue you with a new permit for your own vehicle.
