If you were born before 2 September 1929

If you were born on or before 2 September 1929 you can get a free, standard (32-page, 10-year) passport. This applies to your first passport or renewing a passport.

The express service fee still applies.

Express service upgrade

Due to an increase in demand we are currently processing express service applications in approximately 10 working days (2 weeks).

The first working day is counted as the day after payment has been received. Whilst we aim to process applications sooner, any request to have your new passport before 10 working days cannot be guaranteed.

How long it takes

Standard service

It takes approximately 30 working days (6 weeks) to process passport applications. Do not book any travel until you have your new passport.

Express service

The express service takes approximately 10 working days (2 weeks).

Delivery of your passport

When completing your passport application form, you can choose the address where your passport will be sent. If your home address is not convenient, you can provide an alternative delivery address.

When your passport has been printed, it will be collected from the factory by the courier, TNT, who are responsible for delivery of your passport to your chosen address using the Royal Mail Secure Delivery Service, via Jersey Post.

You're need to provide a signature at the point of delivery. If the delivery was unsuccessful you'll receive a ‘Sorry We Missed You’ card with tracking details.

To track or re-arrange your delivery you'll need your PAN or Consignment number (this can be found on your ‘Sorry We Missed You’ card) and postcode of the nominated address on your application. Redeliveries can be made for a specified date or arrangements can be made to collect from Jersey Post.
