Nature Conservation Stockperson

The Reserve (Jersey’s Conservation Grazing Project) delivers habitat restoration
and management on a wide range of our islands most ecologically valued areas,
including wet meadows, coastal heathlands, dunes and acid grasslands.
You’ll be integral to the project by helping to ensure the efficient and effective
development and implementation of our aims and objectives and will be the first
point of public contact for the project.
You’ll (eventually) be responsible for the day to day husbandry and welfare of the
flock, including the daily stock checks across the island, ensuring the health and
welfare of all our animals. You’ll also be responsible for erecting, maintaining, and
dismantling our electric fence as well as the care and basic maintenance of our
tools and equipment. For the right candidate, we will design and commit to a
training progression plan.
