Chef

Glanville Care Home is seeking an experienced and compassionate Chef to join our dedicated team on a fixed-term basis. We are a residential care home committed to providing a safe, supportive environment for vulnerable elderly ladies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and preparing balanced, nutritious meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences, including soft diets and condition-specific requirements. You will lead the kitchen team, guide assistants in day-to-day tasks, manage food ordering and stock control, and ensure compliance with food safety standards and budgetary requirements.

Main Purpose of the Role:

To plan, prepare, and cook nutritious, well-balanced meals for residents, taking into account individual dietary needs and preferences. To oversee and guide kitchen assistants, ensure compliance with food hygiene.
