Applying to study internationally
The application process is different and each country has a different system. Some want you to apply directly to an institution, others prefer you apply through an agent.
Using an agent can help you arrange visas and other documentation and they can provide advice.

When to apply
Europe and North America have the same academic year as the UK.
Australia and New Zealand start their academic year in January or February.
University of Caen
Jersey has an agreement with the University of Caen in Normandy (UNICAEN) so students from Jersey receive additional support if they choose to study at UNICAEN:
- help with applications
- welcome services
- access to cultural activities
- events during your course
UNICAEN also provides extra French summer courses.
Before you enrol you'll need to achieve a Diploma in French Language Studies (DFLS) at level B2. You can study for the (DFLS) the year before your course begins or take an extra language preparation year in Caen.

Rennes Business School
Jersey has an agreement with Rennes School of Business to collaborate and promote opportunities for study in Rennes.
You can study for an undergraduate Bachelor in Management completely in English or French at the Rennes or Paris campus.
To do the course in French, you need to have the B2 level in French
Rennes Business School can offer:
- professional experience in France or elsewhere with internships every year of the programme
- the opportunity to study abroad for a semester in one of the 68 counties available
- a wide range of student associations at the Rennes campus
- French courses as part of the programme so that you can learn French as you study or improve your current level
- under the agreement between Jersey and Rennes Business School, Jersey students are eligible for the lower EU tuition fee instead of the higher international (non-EU) fee. You can find more information on funding for undergraduate degree programmes on Student Finance
- a dedicated welcome team to support you with accommodation and adjusting to life and study in France
Academic Yearly Structure
- First Semester: September to mid-December
- Second Semester: mid-January to end of April
- Internship: from May (2 to 4 months)
Entry Requirements
To be accepted you usually need either:
- A levels
- International Baccalaureate (IB)
- (Level 3 BTEC) Business and Technology Council qualification
