Elections for
Connétable and Deputies
In accordance with Article 22 of the Elections (Jersey) Law 2002, Electors are hereby notified that the following elections will be held on Wednesday 22 June 2022:
- an election for 1 person to fill the office of Connétable in St Helier
- an election for 4 persons to fill the office of Deputies in the constituencies of
- St Helier North and
- St Helier South
- an election for 5 persons to fill the office of Deputies in the constituency of
How to cast your vote
Have with you photographic identification as this may be requested before you are allowed to vote.
Postal voting
A postal vote is available to an elector who was registered to vote by noon on 10 May 2022. An application in writing should have been made to the Judicial Greffe either by post or email scanned to
VotingApplications@courts.je no later than 12pm (noon) on Wednesday 1 June 2022. A late application may be accepted if there are exceptional circumstances which justify doing so.
Your postal vote, submitted in the postage paid envelope supplied, must be received by the Judicial Greffe, Royal Court House, Royal Square, St Helier, JE1 1JG, no later than 12pm (noon) on Wednesday 22 June 2022.
Pre-poll voting
If you registered by noon on 10 May 2022 you may vote before polling day at St Paul’s Centre, St Paul’s Gate, St Helier:
- 8.30am to 5pm from Monday 13 June to Thursday 16 June 2022
- 8.30 am to 4pm on Friday 17 June 2022
Pre-poll home visit
You must apply in writing to the Judicial Greffe. Application forms are available from the Judicial Greffe, Parish Halls, States Greffe Bookshop, Jersey Library,

Voting on polling day
Polling stations will be open on Wednesday 22 June 2022 from 8am to 8pm, see details below. If you’re registered to vote in St Helier you’re to vote at the Polling Station as specified below for the electoral district in which you're registered. Contact the Parish for advice or refer to
St Helier Parish website or
vote.je website if you’re unsure which Polling Station to attend.
If, on polling day, you are confined to your home owing to illness or disability or because you are the carer of a person who is ill or disabled and you wish to have your vote recorded please notify the Autorisé or Adjoint at your Polling Station by noon, if possible, but no later than 5pm, on Wednesday 22 June 2022.
Paroisse de St Hélier
All electors may vote in the election for the Connétable of St Helier and in the election for Deputies for the constituency in which their address is registered either St Helier Central, St Helier North or St Helier South.
Electors are to vote at the polling station specified for the address at which they are registered, see below.
Electors of St Helier Central, St Helier North and St Helier South may vote for 1 person to fill the office of Connétable and the 2 candidates are:

St Helier Central
Electors of the Vingtaine de Bas du Mont au Pretre and the Vingtaine du Rouge Bouillon are to vote at the polling station for the address at which they are registered (see below) in the election for Connétable and the election for Deputies for St Helier Central.
Electors of St Helier Central may vote for 1 person to fill the office of Connétable (see table above for the 2 candidates) and for up to 5 persons to fill the office of Deputy and the 9 candidates are:

The count
All votes in both elections in St Helier Central will be counted at Springfield Stadium.
St Helier North
Electors are to vote at the polling station for the address at which they are registered, see below, in the election for Connétable and the election for Deputies for St Helier North.
Electors of St Helier North may vote for 1 person to fill the office of Connétable (see table above for the 2 candidates) and for up to 4 persons to fill the office of Deputy and the 7 candidates are:

The count
All votes in both elections in St Helier North will be counted at the Badminton Centre, New Gilson Hall, La Pouquelaye.
St Helier South
Electors of the Vingtaine de Haut de la Ville and the Vingtaine de Bas de la Ville are to vote at the Town Hall, St Helier in the election for Connétable (see table above for the 2 candidates) and may vote for up to 4 persons to fill the office of Deputy and the 11 candidates are:

The count
All votes in both elections in St Helier South will be counted at the Town Hall.
Closure of Town Hall
The Town Hall will be closed for business on polling day Wednesday 22 June and the following day Thursday 23 June 2022.
