Response

A

In May 2023, Health and Community Services’ TrakCare Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system was replaced with the IMS MAXIMS solution. The complete functionality of the new EPR will be rolled out over four years in five releases. Releases 1 and 2 were completed in June 2023. Release 3 is due for completion in Quarter 3 of 2024, Release 4 in Quarter 4 of 2024, and Release 5 in Quarter 1 of 2025.

B

The new EPR system implementation is on schedule to meet its target completion date of Quarter 1, 2025.

C

The system aligns with agreed specifications, with the exception of the maternity module. The third-party supplier originally selected for the maternity module is unable to meet the required specifications within the agreed timeline. Engagement with a replacement supplier is currently underway.

D

The project operated within budget in 2023 and is currently projected to stay within budget for 2024.

E

Implementing a new EPR system comes with both technical and business change complexities which, as expected, present challenges. However, the project is successfully achieving its expected outcomes, with no significant incidents or major issues reported.
