Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by Government of Jersey and published on 13 February 2024.
Prepared internally, no external costs.

Request

Please provide data from Driver and Vehicle Standars to show how many vehicles have been exported off the island to the UK in the period between January 2021 and January 2024.

Response

Vehicle owners are required to notify the Government of Jersey within 7 days of a vehicle being permanently exported from Jersey.

The Government of Jersey does not record where the vehicle has been exported to, therefore, Article 3 of the Freedom of Information (Jersey) Law 2011 applies.

The table below, however, shows the total number of vehicles exported between the period of 1 January 2021 to 31 January 2024 that were declared as permanently exported.
