Part-time secondary school teachers (FOI)

Part-time secondary school teachers (FOI)

Produced by the Freedom of Information office
Authored by States of Jersey and published on 07 June 2016.

Request

I would like to know how many part-time teachers there are in each of the secondary schools, including Hautlieu.

Response

There are 42 part-time teachers working within secondary schools.

The range is from three to nine in any secondary school.
Due to the number of part-time teachers per school being fewer than ten, Article 25 of the FOI Law (Jersey) has been applied to this request.

The data is accurate as at 30 April 2016, and relates to the following schools:

  • Grainville
  • Haute Vallee
  • Hautlieu
  • Jersey College for Girls
  • Le Rocquier
  • Les Quennevais
  • Victoria College

Exemptions applied

Article 25 - personal information
(1) Information is absolutely exempt information if it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005.
(2) Information is absolutely exempt information if –
(a) it constitutes personal data of which the applicant is not the data subject as defined in the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2005; and
(b) its supply to a member of the public would contravene any of the data protection principles, as defined in that Law.
