Swan Washing Machine (Very) safety notice

​An important safety notice has been issued by the manufacturer identifying a problem with two models of Swan washing machine sold between 2010 and 2012.

A small number of these washing machines have failed in use due to a fault with the internal control unit. This can lead to overheating during use and, in some cases there is a small risk of a fire developing. Therefore, the manufacturer are taking the precautionary step of replacing the control units on all affected items.

To confirm whether you have an affected model, check the model number displayed on the front of the machine on the rating label, against the affected model numbers listed below.

Item numbers - SW1010W, SW1010Wa, SW1010B, SW1010Ba,
SW1020W, SW1020Wa, SW1020B and SW1020Ba.

If you believe you have an affected machine, stop using the machine and disconnect or switch it off at the wall socket.
