Date set for Plemont planning decision

06 November 2012

The Planning and Environment Minister, Deputy Rob Duhamel, will announce on Wednesday 14 November 2012, his decision on whether to approve or reject the planning application to develop the former holiday village site at Plémont.

Deputy Duhamel received today the report prepared by the independent inspector to the recently completed public inquiry, Alan Langton, and his decision will be made following careful consideration of that report.

The public inquiry took place on 25 and 26 September 2012 and invited representations from the public in relation to the planning application to develop 28 dwellings on the Plémont site. Mr Langton’s report will also be released publically after the Minister has made his decision.

The decision made by Deputy Duhamel on the matter of the planning application is distinct and separate from the States debate about the potential acquisition of the headland by the public and subsequent sale to the National Trust which will be held on Tuesday 4 December 2012.

The proposed plans for the site can be viewed online.
