Technical standards for highway construction

Preparing your technical drawings

Technical drawings are required so that both your contractor and our Government of Jersey inspectors are clear in what is to be built.

You must prepare detailed technical drawings for all highway works based on the standard drawing details published by the Government. The minimum required details you must show include:

  • proposed materials
  • levels
  • falls
  • extents
  • proposed land ownership boundary
  • drainage
  • vehicle and pedestrian visibility splays, where applicable

Find details below of the highway specifications and standard drawings that can be referenced as part of your technical submissions.

You can request the standard drawings as AutoCAD blocks.
