Jersey Association of Carers Incorporated (JACI)

The Jersey Association of Carers Incorporated (JACI) is a charity that was set up in March 1994. It aims to provide one contact point so that people can easily access the services of all of the caring agencies and organisations.

How does JACI help carers?

Caring for someone can lead to social isolation, financial hardship and deterioration in mental and physical health. The job is often tiring and stressful and lasts for years (or sometimes for life).

Carers are often so busy caring that they have little time to find out what services are available or have time to care for themselves. Sometimes they do not realise that they are carers.

JACI helps carers by providing information, support and guidance. It has created an information directory to provide useful information for carers about public, private, voluntary and other agencies who may be able to help.
