GP Out of Hours Service

The out of hours service is called Jersey Doctors on Call (JDOC).

You can access the out of hours service even if you do not have a GP. You'll have to pay as outlined below.

We provide an out of hours service during the following opening times on an appointment only basis. Contact your GP surgery when JDOC is not open.

When the service operates

This service is available every day of the year, including public and bank holidays.

How to access our services

You can only access the out of hours service on an appointment basis, so contact your GP surgery first. If your GP is part of the urgent treatment centre, they will tell you and provide our contact details.

A receptionist at the urgent treatment centre will answer your call and arrange telephone advice, a surgery appointment time or a home visit.

Appointments are only accepted from patients of GPs who are part of the urgent treatment centre. We do not accept bookings from patients of non-participating GPs. Patients from non-participating surgeries need to get advice from their surgery about their out of hours service.

Calls after 10pm patients need to call their GP surgery number.

Our location

We are located in Gwyneth Huelin Wing at the Newgate Street entrance to the General Hospital.

Parking

Parking is available in Patriotic Street car park. There is also limited parking on The Parade and Gloucester Street.
