Volunteering

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, connect with the community, learn new skills, and even advance your career. Giving to others can also benefit your mental and physical health.

There're many volunteering opportunities in Jersey. You can contact non-profit organisations directly to find out more about volunteering or you can use the volunteer.je website.

Volunteer.je connects Jersey’s non-profit organisations to suitable and willing volunteers and can help you find a volunteer opportunity that suits you.

The Jersey Charity Association website shows a list of Jersey charities, the work they do and their contact information.

Charities

Association of Jersey Charities

The Association of Jersey Charities is the representative body of the majority of charitable organisations operating in Jersey.

The association currently has 310 member charities ranging from branches of national charities to small local charities, clubs, societies and support groups.

Jersey Charity Commissioner

The Jersey Charity Commissioner is independent of the Government of Jersey.

It maintains a register of Jersey charities including community groups, religious charities, schools, grant-giving charities and major care providers. The Commissioner ultimately supports public confidence in charities and their work. The Commissioner also helps charity governors to understand and comply with their legal duties.
