Businesses and GST on imported goods

How you can pay GST on imports depends on whether your business is GST registered and Customs approved. The personal de minimis amount does not apply to businesses.

My business is GST-registered and Customs-approvedYour goods will be released automatically when they arrive in Jersey, and you will account for any GST on your GST return.
My business is GST-registered but is not Customs-approved

You must declare the value and pay the GST within 3 days. This adds unnecessary costs to your business so you should consider becoming a customs approved trader.
