Recycling: light bulbs

You can recycle lightbulbs
Lightbulbs

How you can recycle light bulbs

Don't put lightbulbs in your household waste or glass bin. They contain metals and potentially hazardous chemicals.

Before recycling your lighbulbs, remove all packaging and electrical tape.

Separate different types of bulbs:

  • lightbulbs
  • tubes
  • fluorescent tubes. These contain mercury and must be recycled separately

There are different containers at La Collette to recycle the different types and sizes of bulbs and tubes.

Make sure the bulbs are packed to avoid damage during transport. If they are damaged, put them in a plastic bag.
