How you can recycle animal bedding

  • fabric animal bedding and blankets can be recycled in any textiles recycling bank, unless it contains plastic. If it's made with plastic then you should put it in your general household waste
  • plastic or wooden animal beds can be put in the bulky waste container at the Household Reuse and Recycling Centre
  • used hay, straw or sawdust can be put with your general household waste
  • pet waste such as cat litter should be bagged and put in your general waste bin or bagged and put in the kitchen waste container at the Household Reuse and Recycling Centre
