Telephone directories can be recycled at La Collette.

Good to know

  • paper is sent to the UK to be processed and sold on to create recycled paper products
  • create a demand for your waste paper by buying products made from recycled material
  • it takes 17 trees to make a tonne of paper. For every tonne of paper that is recycled, enough electricity is saved to run an average 3 bedroom house for a year
  • do the scrunch test to check whether your paper can be recycled. Scrunch the paper in your hand. If it springs back open it’s not recyclable and you should put it in your general waste
